Starting your alumni database will save your class a lot of time and money in the future. If you are still in school, your classmates can fill in the information on a school computer.
The first graduating class of Buena High School (1962) in Ventura, California was only 117 students. They spent 11 weeks mailing letters and sending e-mails this year trying to locate old classmates and found about 25. They sent out the first mailing (Post Cards) with 50% returned. Second mailing had the same results. Personal phone calls did locate a few more. This is the reason Ed built the data base and web site.
After the reunion they found out that the postal codes were not correct on the returned letters. So check out the address in the phone book or on the Internet and the zip code at http://www.postoffice.com. An example of this was, a letter’s zip code in Ventura was 93003 and the person’s name and address was correct with the zip being wrong by one number 93002 it was returned no such address! (They are not blaming any agency, But!!!).
If you find any mistakes on this web site or in the programs please send me a nice note to edward@localhighschools.com and I will correct it as soon as possible.
